NUSD Traditional and Charter Schools

There is not a specific statewide definition of independent vs. dependent charters schools. This document reflects how NUSD delineates between the two.  For more specific details for each charter school, it is important to review three different types of documents related to a particular charter school: the approved charter petition, any facilities use agreements (FUAs), and any memorandums of understanding (MOUs) that exist for each charter. The following document was designed to help families understand the services and resources that are shared and separate within the Natomas Unified School District.
