Communications & Family Engagement (CAFE)

Welcome to the award-winning Communications and Family Engagement Department also known as CAFE! Our Department covers Communications, Expanded Learning and Mentoring, Student Voices, Parent Engagement, Community Partnerships, and Youth Workforce. Our mission is to positively elevate NUSD students through successful communications, diverse engagement, strong community partnerships, and access to enriching programs/resources that directly support the district’s vision and goals.

The CAFE team works tirelessly behind the scenes, to keep our families and community informed. They are the storytellers who bring our students’ experiences to life.

Parent University

Parent University is a community collaborative led by Natomas Unified to help parents become full partners in their children’s education. We partner with community agencies and organizations to offer free courses, family events and activities that will equip families with new or additional skills, knowledge, resources, and confidence.
