Any NUSD family is eligible for this program; if your student is enrolled in our schools then you can join the NUSD Connect internet program.

Much like being in an NUSD classroom; families and students will be able to connect to educational websites that are allowable at our schools. Families will not be able to connect to movies, gaming sites or streaming services that are not educational.

The NUSD Connect network is faster, more secure and stable than a hotspot; The NUSD Connect network is designed to help a community while a hotspot is designed to support up to 10 people with internet connectivity.

No – large 5G networks built by large internet companies are designed to support millions of homes. The NUSD Connect internet service is built to support only our NUSD families within a smaller circumference around our schools. This means that cell tower frequencies “waves” built by large internet companies have much more power than and these “waves” are different than our NUSD Connect internet.

Yes, a small router will be given to you when you sign up. Simply plug in the device and enter a password one time, after that the device will “know” your computer and automatically connect to the internet.

The NUSD Technology Department will arrange pick up days at your student’s school; if you have multiple students at different schools, we’ll work with you to pick the school that is most convenient to you.

Yes. If you use this with your personal device, it will be operating under the safety parameters that all of our district devices are under.

We’d prefer you use the NUSD Connect internet program; it’s safer and more reliable for your student.
