2024 Attendance Awareness Video Contest Winners
Inderkum High School and Natomas Park Elementary Students Earn 2nd and 3rd Place
Thank you to all the students who entered our "Attendance Awareness Video Contest!" Each student who entered will be receiving a special thank you prize from Ms. Attendance. The contest was launched in September to raise awareness of the importance of attending school on time, everyday so that students can strengthen their learning skills. We're so proud of all of the entries and want to highlight the top three videos.
With inspirational graphics such as “I’m not just filling a seat, I’m filling up my mind,” student Nevaeh of Larry G. Meeks Academy, has won first place.
Second place went to Inderkum High School students Kailani, Tanishqa, and Angelene for sharing with their peers the important social events they might miss out on, if they are constantly tardy and do not show up to class.
Third place goes to Leila, a Natomas Park Elementary student for her short and sweet video of why attendance is important.
Congratulations, student video creators!
District Goal
Achieving a 95-percent attendance rate means students missing nine or fewer days of school over the entire school year.
