Proud to be Named the Most Diverse School District in California and Second in Nation in Two Publications

Natomas Unified School District (NUSD), named the second most diverse school district in the nation by Niche.com in 2025, 2024 and in a 2016 New York Times study, is located just minutes north of downtown Sacramento and the State Capitol in California’s Central Valley. 

An exciting district on the move, NUSD has exemplary staff preparing students for college and career, thousands of new students expected over the next ten years, and top-notch educational programs – including International Baccalaureate (IB), AP Capstone, opportunities to enroll in college courses simultaneously in high school, and an array of Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways. NUSD provides programs beginning in preschool, transitional kindergarten, and kindergarten, and all the way through high school and adult education. • NUSD Connect, Wi-Fi towers at each school, to provide internet access at home to families who need it at no cost.
• 1:1 access for Chromebooks, allowing all students to have access to technology. 
• Continued community support for the enhancement of school facilities with the passage of Measure J and Measure L school bond projects to fund construction, renovation, security, and other projects.
