Interdistrict Transfers Incoming

We are pleased to welcome students from all areas of our community. If you reside outside the Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) boundaries, you must complete an Interdistrict Transfer Permit (ITP) application.

Requests for the 2026-27 school year will open on March 2 through April 30.

Please be advised that we are no longer accepting NEW requests for the 2025-26 school year. 

Please contact your District of Residence to obtain and complete the required forms. Most districts provide their Interdistrict Transfer Application online.

Once your home district has approved your transfer, you may submit the signed Interdistrict Transfer Application via email to itpstatus@natomasunified.org or deliver it in person to the Welcome Center at:

When submitting your approved Interdistrict Transfer Application, please include the following documentation:

  1. Written documentation supporting your reason for the transfer

  2. Attendance Report

  3. Behavior Report

  4. Report Card or Transcript

  5. Individualized Education Program (IEP), if applicable

Applications must be complete. Please include all the requested documentation listed above. 

Applications submitted on or after May 1, 2026, will be considered late requests. These may be reviewed after July 2026, if space and staffing permit.
